Today we went to Starved Rock State Park. It was a hard hike, as always. Tons of steps!! And I mean hundreds! Anyway, it was beautiful, but not as beautiful as last time. All the waterfalls were dried up. We haven't had much rain, so the creeks were dry as well. It was still beautiful, there just wasn't any water in the woods. It was hotter today too! I survived and Paul loved it. Okay, I did too!

Nothing really planned for the night. Paul is going to work tomorrow so that we can see my brother on Wednesday. It kind of stinks that we have to drive up twice in one week, but worth it to see him before he leaves. He's going to Italy and he'll be in Iraq for a while. So, it's nice to see him before he goes. I am the closest sister to him I would say. Robbie is closest to Scott and Evangeline is closest to Jolene. I mean, we're all close, but we each talk to another sibling more than the rest. Anyway, I was really bummed about not being able to see him. Paul realized that and got someone to switch shifts with him. So sweet. Yeah, I love him.

Anyway, I'm off to enjoy the rest of my day with Paul. I can't wait until this weekend. We get to hang with Paul's family on Friday night and Saturday and Sunday morning. Then, we're heading out to hang with my family for Sunday afternoon until Monday evening. Gotta love seeing family! Especially when you haven't seen them in awhile.
