A chilly day.

I was sitting outside for awhile and got a little chilly. It thunderstormed for a brief time and now it's just overcast.

Paul called to find out why our sewer bill was so high. Well, it appears that it is a set rate. It's based on what they *think* you will use. Already, that sounds so not cool, but hey. Well, they reevaluate the rates each year. In January, February or March. Guess what? Our rates are based on the family that lived here before us. Might I remind you how many live in our house now-two. Might I also remind you how many lived in the house before us-two adults and four, yes, four children. Six people. They informed Paul that in no way could they reevaluate the rates now. We have to wait until next May. NEXT MAY before our rates will lower. The lady said they should lower by at least ten dollars. That, my friends, is at least $140 extra that we have paid/have to pay until our rates change. We are paying the bills of a family of six! That seems ridiculous to me. So, I think he's going to try to talk to a manager and see what can change about it. $65 a month for water/sewer just seems kind of high. Of course the trash pickup is included in there, so it's actually $15 less than that. But still, it seems like a lot! Oh, well. What can you do?

Not much else going on here today. Just preparing for the trips this week and making sure everything is ready to go!

Oh! I was wondering if I could get some help with something? I want to create scrapbook albums celebrating both Paul's and my families. Basically, I want to record those memories that everyone has and loves to think on. A kind of heritage scrapbook. I'm going to post a different question each Monday. If you have the time I would love it if you could answer it. You can answer any way that you want. Leave a comment on the blog, send an e-mail or even send something snail-mail. It can be as long as you want or even just a sentence or a descriptive word. It can even be a picture (and I have a scanner, so I'll get the originals back to you). I totally understand if you are too busy, don't sweat it. And, you can always go back to the older questions and answer them at will.

I'll share all of the comments, stories and pictures on this blog, unless you don't want me to. Which I also totally understand. It's just something that I have wanted to do for a long time and am finally getting around to doing. If there are other family members that you think I should contact, let me know. Aunts, uncles, cousins, anyone. And you can be sure that I will most definitely show all of you the albums!

If you have any questions about why, or what exactly I'm doing, or how I'm going to format it, just let me know. Also, if you think I'm crazy-let me know that too! :o) If you have any questions to add-things you would like included in the album-send 'em to me!

Just a thought. Sorry to make this such a long post. I'll leave you with my first question and the quote of the day! Love you all.

What are your favorite family stories?
They can be from your memories or those that have been told to you by parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, etc. I want 'em all. Sad, happy, silly-whatever!
